Tutorial : Configure Elk with your organisation logo
Introduction
What:
This tutorial will show you how to:
- Configure Elk with your organisation logo.
What for:
Add your logo to documents created by the software (e.g. PDF reports, Fig 7).
Level: beginner
Expected time: 5 minutes
Required:
- Elk version # 0.9.0 or higher,
- Download and unzip the file: 'shg-your-organisation-logo.zip'
- Have already created and open an Elk project, and be located
in Manage perspective(detailed in
tutorial 1 of Elk
) :
Set your organisation logo
Be sure you are located in 'Manage' perspective of an Elk project.
If you are not located in 'Manage' perspective, you can switch the perspective : from Elk menubar click on 'Perspectives | Perspectives | Switch to "Manage"' (Fig 1).

From Elk menubar click on 'Tools | Options | Your organisation logo' (Fig 2).

A dialog called 'Elk - Your organisation logo' shows up (Fig 3).
Mouse left-click on the 'Import' button.

A dialog called 'Elk - Import image logo' shows up (Fig 4).
Mouse left-click on the 'Browse' button.

A dialog called 'Open file' shows up.
Select the file : 'acme_200_150.png'. (Fig 5)
Mouse left-click on the 'Open' button.

The dialog called 'Elk - Your organisation logo' shows up again, and displays your logo (Fig 6).
Mouse left-click on the 'Close' button.

Now, Elk software, or its associated plugins can use this logo in order to generate reports, as shown below (Fig 7).
